The right sport
Scholarships are available in different sports depending on the country, matching the competitions the chosen university takes part in within that region.
In the USA, for example, basketball, tennis, water polo, volleyball and rowing are priority sports, while kayak-canoe and handball are unfortunately not part of university scholarship programs.
Balancing sport & academics
Academic results matter a great deal: universities review school grades during the application, and most of them require the SAT exam alongside a suitable language certificate.
European universities prefer TELC, while US universities prefer TOEFL – it is worth planning for this.
A proactive attitude
It is worth deciding early in high school and researching thoroughly which programs are available in your sport depending on your results.
There are big differences not only between countries, but between states and individual universities. The ideal time to join: 10th grade, or at the latest the start of the second semester of 11th grade.
Time management & efficiency
We help from making your first video all the way to signing the contract – and beyond. Dormitory and visa administration may look daunting at first, but we support you throughout.
Depending on your sports results and study plans, we send your jointly prepared portfolio to several universities, so in the end YOU get to choose among the offers.

SAS is a small, family-spirited, modern high school in Budapest for student athletes.
20% of our 2023 graduates started the academic year at a university abroad – five of them on a sports scholarship in the USA.
